BodyTite™ – Radiofrequency for Skin Tightening

With the BodyTite™ procedure a cannula with an attached electrode is inserted into the fat layer directly under the skin. The electrode’s radio waves generate heat in the fatty and subcutaneous tissue which works in two ways:

• It tightens the skin’s connective tissue attachment.
• It liquefies the fat, which is subsequently aspirated through the cannula.

Another electrode outside of the body checks the temperature in the subcutaneous tissue in order to prevent overheating.

The respective areas are locally numbed with tumescent local anesthesia. To this end, a highly diluted anesthesia solution is injected into the tissue in large quantities.

The advantages of the tumescent local anesthesia for laser lipolysis:

The patient is awake and

• can position him/herself actively on the OP table
• can tense individual muscles
• can stand up for a symmetry check in difficult cases
• thanks to the basic tension of his/her muscles, the body contour can be seen in a lying position

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. Healing is usually completed within two to four weeks - without any physical restrictions, except for the girdle, which you should wear during this time.

• After treatment, our cosmetic department will be glad to recommend a special skin care program in order to make the healing process as easy as possible.
• We also recommend lymph drainage in order to increase absorption of undesirable swelling in the first weeks after the treatment. We offer this procedure at our Rosenpark Studio.
• You should also drink a lot of water in order to enhance metabolization during the woundhealing process.
• For cellulite patients we recommend additional treatment with the gentle SmoothShapes® or Venus Legacy™ methods.
